Duck Leg Confit
Duck legs confit (confit du canard) are seasoned and slowly cooked in duck fat. Moist and very tender! Duck legs confit is great for entertaining because it is so easy to prepare and guests love it.
Duck confit is perfect for Cassoulet; great with salad or serve warm with side dishes such as celery root and potato puree and steamed asparagus. To heat, just place legs in a frying pan fat side down and cook until the skin is crispy and golden brown. Turn over just to heat through.
Duck legs confit shelf life is 8 weeks refrigerated, 10 to 14 days once opened. Lasts 9 months if kept in freezer.
